However, major blood vessels like the aorta and vena cava are compressed when you are sleeping on your left and your right respectively. Pillows can be quite beneficial if you are feeling uncomfortable while sleeping.

While you might feel vascular or neurological cuts when you are sleeping, your baby will never feel any of that pain, so you don't need to worry about that.
